The agreement

Terms of Use

Last updated: 3 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Soulform ("we," "us") when you use the service. We've kept them short and in plain language, because we actually want you to read them. By creating an account or using Soulform, you agree to them.

1. What Soulform is, and what it isn't

Soulform is an AI-assisted journaling and self-reflection tool: a private space for writing, with an AI that reads what you write and reflects patterns back to you.

Soulform is not therapy, not counselling, and not a medical or mental-health service. It is designed to work alongside professional support, not to replace it. It is not a crisis service: it cannot contact emergency services on your behalf. If you are in crisis or immediate danger, call your local emergency number, and see our crisis resources page.

2. Who can use Soulform

You must be at least 18 years old. You agree to give us accurate account information and to keep access to your account to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Your content stays yours

Everything you write in Soulform belongs to you. You give us permission to process, store, and display it back to you only as needed to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't use your writing to train AI models, and we don't share it with anyone for their own purposes.

4. The AI can be wrong

The AI's responses are generated. They can be inaccurate, incomplete, or miss the point entirely, and they are not professional advice of any kind (medical, psychological, legal, or financial). What the AI reflects back is material for your own judgment, not a verdict about you. Decisions you make remain your own.

5. Acceptable use

Use Soulform for your own reflection. Don't:

  • use it to harm, harass, or impersonate others;
  • try to access other people's data or probe, overload, or attack the service;
  • scrape the service or use it to build a competing dataset or product;
  • resell access or use your account for someone else's automated workload.

6. Cost and availability

Soulform is currently free while in beta. If that ever changes, we'll tell you clearly and ahead of time; nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement. The product is evolving: features may change, and while we work hard to keep the service available and your data safe, we can't promise uninterrupted availability.

7. Closing your account

You can stop using Soulform at any time, export your data from Settings, and ask us to delete your account. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other people at risk; if that ever happens, you can still request a copy of your data.

8. Liability

Soulform is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages or losses that come from relying on AI-generated responses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months (which, during the free beta, is nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under the law, and nothing in them reduces your statutory consumer rights.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you're a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections of your own country's law and can bring disputes in your own courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We'll update these terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know directly. Continuing to use Soulform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
